Hackensack Radiology Group - PreCertification

Hackensack Radiology Group has an Insurance/Pre-certification team available to both patients and physicians for assistance in researching insurance requirements and concerns. Often, insurance carriers will require pre-authorization for specific imaging studies. Our staff will coordinate efforts with the referring physician to obtain authorization from your carrier prior to your appointment.

In some instances, insurance carriers may require 2 or 3 business days to review a request for an imaging service such as MRI or CAT Scan prior to giving approval. These types of insurance requirements may hinder a same day or next day appointment. However, our staff will always work to expedite your physician’s request. Studies specified as emergency examinations by a physician’s office are usually prioritized by individual insurance carriers.
